Vertigo 3-Column v3.0 Released
Many of you know that I recently announced that I will be re-releasing all of my free WordPress themes. Well the first theme is done, and is now ready for you to download. (2-column re-release coming next!)
You can view the demo to see the Vertigo 3-Column theme in action and can download on the theme page. Please let me know if you see any bugs or layout issues.
A few things that I want to point out that are different:
- The overall style (fonts/colors) have changed a bit
- The navbar has now been coded to accommodate a 2-level dropdown menu
- The sidebars on the demo site are using widgets
- There are now sidebar icons that come with the theme
- Google AdSense can easily be added through a text widget

Look really nice, Brian. Some very interesting changes, I’ll have to look into the AdSense in a text widget. I’ve wondered if that were possible and now you’ve done it.
David - thanks! Vertigo really needed some updating, and I am glad that I’ve carved out time to do the free theme updates. As for the AdSense deal, all you need to do is create a text widget and drop your code in there. That’s it!
Excellent changes, Brian. I like the text much better now. I’ll have to take a closer look at everything else later on, but looks good!
Harrison - thanks as well! I’m very happy with the way it turned out, and look forward to updating the rest. (not to mention release an upcoming free theme that I have been working on!)
Looks good! Can’t wait to see the 2-column version next week! (but not looking forward to trying to incorporate the changes to my ’slightly’ modified version..)
Very goods…. I was very happy with your creation, it is hoped was useful for many people, good luck
Thanks Brain…
This is a lovely theme. Thank you. I just found your site and theme by following the link in a post on the WF. Anyway, thanks again–these are really something!
Hi Brian!
I just upgraded to V3.0 and I’ve got one question from 2.0 — is it possible to text-align the links in the header to make them flush with the right-hand side? In 2.0 I simply added ‘text-align: right’ to the following section:
.headerright {
width: 800px;
float: right;
margin: 0px;
padding: 0px;
}
But now it doesn’t work — any ideas for a workaround?
Kind regards,
Matt
Nice theme. I like this new version
Stumbled!
Everything you do looks amazing… Good god man, let the competition catch up a little bit, lol…
I love all your design on this site, it’s most clearly design and SEO friendly style. Thank for a great theme.
Hi Brian,
Love the site and love Vertigo! I am currently using Vertigo (red) on my site http://www.vagueland.com
The only issue I am have had with it, is that is scrunches the recent comments together for some reason.
I do like how (in the three) column Vertigo version you added another dividing line to better separate the posts.
Thanks so much again!
Sincerely
Neil
Hi,
I really like your theme but wanted to find out what font is used for your header graphic? I can’t quite find the same font…
Thanks!
Mo
Thanks a lot for the work !
But, what about the different colors (red, blue, or elec) please ?
Thx !

Thanks for the Vertigo update. I’ve used it on a new site that I launched today, and found it very easy to work with this theme.
Sleek.
Any way to add the name of the Author to each post? I believe it would be an edition to the index.php file, but I’ve not been successful in any of my attempts.
Thank you for this update. It’s such a sleek design. I’ve only just started modifying the template, but I really like the new look.
Great. I’ve just got my head around customising Vertigo 2 and now you bring out number 3
I look forward to seeing what I can do with it. Thanks for providing such a great resource for non-techies like me.
Hi Brian, I just want to thank you for your free Vertigo Theme. I modified it and start to use it on 4 of my websites. Maybe you want to take a look?! Again, thank you very much….! Manfred
