Turning Back the Clock
Many of you know I’m a hopeless romantic, as well as one known to reminisce from time to time. As I have passed my 1-year blog anniversary and enter the holiday season, I will probably experience a few nights like tonight, where I find myself thinking of the past.
Tonight, I’d like to share that with you - in fun, I’m posting screenshots of some of the older themes I have used on my site. You may recognize them since all of them were released on my WordPress Themes page, or you may have seen them on other sites across the internet.
Want some useless trivia? Here are some interesting facts you may not know about my themes:
- My Vertigo theme is by far my most downloaded theme - more than likely it has surpassed the 20,000 download mark by now.
- There has only been one theme (I called it Candy Apple) that I used on my site here that was never released to the public.
- My Dropshadow theme (as seen in pink, originally named Eccentric) was heavily influenced with permission by Humble Voice.
- The original Revolution theme, which was enhanced a bit since then, was actually a rejected design that I had done for a real estate agent.
A significant note of interest is that within the next week, I will be releasing a fourth style over at the Revolution News site - this one is looking way cool, and will hopefully be my best work yet!

Sweet nostalgia.
That’s a great post, I’ve been a fan (& customer) for a while now and love the work. Cool to see some of those screenshots to refresh the memory. Computer ADD you know.
May your CPU always run…
Silhouette was my favorite
Nice! What was theme name on the last image? Is that the Candy Apple one?
I’m not sure but I think that’s some older version of ” Silhouette “, because when I started to read Brian’s blog he was using Silhouette theme but slightly different….
It fantastics! Good luck Brian
Well I tried to embed Cher’s “Turn Back Time”… hopefully just mentioning it will put it in your head.
Revolution was a reject? Hard to imagine. Well, it’s certainly not suffering that problem anymore.
Oh, and Vertigo is a very cool theme.
Thanks for sharing!
Can’t believe that Revolution was rejected!
