They Say It Means Nothing…

But it appears that Google just updated it’s page rank, and all over the world Digital Pointers are going nuts. I know that in the grand scheme of things, page rank means nothing, and it’s simply an arbitrary number.

However, it is nice to see a 7 here on this website, a 6 on the Revolution theme site and another 6 on the Revolution News theme site.

For grins, post your new page rank by leaving a comment!

I noticed that my nathanrice.org site jumped from 5 to 6, and my new site, nathanrice.net (less than 2 months old really) went from 0 to 2.

I know it certainly makes me happy :-)

I’m thrilled to have gone from 0 to 4. Here’s to 5 in the next go round. :)

That’s great for you. But how does a site that is only a couple months old http://www.revolutiontheme.com/ have a PR6 ? Or is it older than that and I am just not aware?

Allen, a lot of incoming links and people posting about it on their sites is my guess.

My main site page ranking stayed at 5, but a new subdomain of my site, Colbert University (http://colbertuniversity.nofactzone.net) went from 0 to 3. Yay! So we’ll have to see, I guess.

Also, Brian, I want to ask some questions about using Revolution on my main blog, NoFactZone.net, so could you please e-mail me? I put the e-mail in this comment. Thanks!

Mine stayed at 3! Which is a shame - I was hoping it would go up but thinking it was going to go down.

Really liking your themes Brian. It looks like I’m going to have spend some money soon. Although Christmas is coming so I’ll be borrowing your Winterwonderland again if that’s ok?!

Maybe one of the SEO experts here can explain this. I have an old site(wiredconsumers.com) that’s covered in dust and no activity: PR3. My newest site, problognews.com, open for about 3 months, red hot activity, lots of inbound links: PR0. What gives?

    My underconstruction/1-page/3-month-old site jump from 0 to 3 :P
