The Natives are Restless
Uh oh…
Every once in a while I find myself in an ambitious funk. Call it what you want, but I say it’s the creative design natives getting restless in my mind.
So what does this mean? It means I am looking for ideas (or potential partners) on developing some sort of web/blog based site. Chime in if you are interested or have ideas…

Well I’m intrigued, but being so vague my friend, isn’t helping any possible brainstorming. No ideas at all?
I know Armen, that’s the problem - I sometimes get into these moods, but can never place my finger on what exactly I want to do. Thus, open to suggestions.
May I suggest a national high school sports site, empowering a fleet of regional correspondents who report on their home teams.
Hi Brian,
I’m going to send you a message via your contact form on this topic - be on the lookout for it.
Brian, with the greatest respect I write this, with all the projects you’ve got going on with this site, theme development, cutline, wordpress themes, performancing, etc. Have you thought you might be spreading yourself too thin. I know what it’s like to have those bursts of enthusiasm, and not knowing where to start or finish, but you have so many irons in the fire, my concern is that by adding another project on top may being to water down the “Brian Gardner” brand, and risk losing focus on what makes your brand unique. Just some thoughts, I respect what you’ve done the last 6-8 months and admire your success.
Chris, I really appreciate your words, and thank you for being honest. One thing I have found over the past few months, is that I am a diverse person, and need variety. Lately I have spent too much time doing freelance design, and although it’s nice to make some extra money, I am finding that I need a few “Brian” things to do.
I create free themes for people to use, I do freelance themes for other people, and then support themes on Cutline and Performancing.
One thing out of that equation has been me, and I find that as much as I like to do stuff for other people, I also want to do my own thing from time to time. I have wanted to do something that I can claim as my own, as well as have it be fun.
I think I may have found that.
I have managed to trim down some of my involvement with certain projects, so they aren’t as intense as you might think. For instance, with Performancing, I’m only going to be releasing one theme a month. Things like that I have worked out so that I am free to pursue other stuff!
Well, you seem to have a passionate involvement in Breast Cancer awareness, why not create something that feeds that? Or make a collection of your observations and ponderings a la Jack Handy and create a BG version of “Deep Thoughts”. You’ve built up enough readership for people to be interested in what you might have to say on a variety of subjects outside the WP/theme/blog tip world.
Whatever you move to, I’m certain you’ll find success.
