Taking Revolution to a Higher Level

Revolution ShowcaseAs Revolution celebrates it’s 6-month anniversary, I wanted to take some time and recognize a few sites that have really taken the themes to a higher level. The sites listed below pretty much leave me speechless.

All I can do is post links and let you see for yourself - consider this the best of the best of the Revolution showcase. A very special congratulations goes out the the developers and owners of these sites, for a job well done. Superb work!

IMHO http://www.quarterlives.com/ looks the best among Pro Media theme themes

Holy cr*p is all I can say - these designs are amazing! They don’t even resemble the base theme in the least, and you can just see it peeking through. Rockin’ gallery of what the potential of change can accomplish!

(Is it just me or does JCD’s site remind you of Jabba the Hut’s bar?)

Sander - no problem, but I thank those who developed the sites! ;)

Matej - you are absolutely right, so much that I added it to the list!

James - LOL, Jabba’s bar. And yes, it takes a trained eye to see that Revolution is actually behind the scenes.

Inspiring stuff … I’m just hoping that I will be able to work out how to be as adept.

I will be launching a couple of Revolution sites once WP 2.5 is released and I’m going to have to do some serious customization, placing thumbnails for photos listed in the post way off to the right hand side of the post’s page, where the “eNews and Updates” box currently sits.

I figure it should be possible by altering the CSS, directing photos of a certain class to appear in rows in a box anchored to the second column. Does that sound about right?

Anyway, great work everyone; Brian, please keep posting any great examples like these that you become aware of, because it motivates the rest of us.

Wow, Brian - thanks for the showcase! I so appreciate the kind words and I’m loving what others are able to create using your fine theme. You are inpiring.

Great stuff. You should think about creating a section just to showcase sites that are using Revolution in cool ways. It’s a great theme that can be used in SO many different ways. Awesome!

Robbie - not a problem, it’s well deserved!

Casey - is this what you mean?

Wow, those sites are amazing. I’d already featured JCD’s site in my showcase, but I hadn’t seen the other ones before.

Some really nice customizations there! Always cool to watch what people do to reenvision a design.

PJ - most of the others on the list other than JCD were recently posted on my showcase, as they are new sites.

Darren - thanks for dropping by and for the comment. (nice work on Mimbo Pro, by the way!)

Nice variations! I’m always interested in seeing how other people choose to set themselves apart. Without you telling us (and the accreditation), I’d have no idea most of those were your Revolution theme.

    Hey Brian -

Thanks for your comments and your mention in this post. We are honored to be listed here among such great talent. The customization for ForestForTrees.com was a combination of efforts from our team and that of the amazingly talented Randa Clay Design.

    Thanks again.
