Just a little fun experiment I having for those who would like to showoff their blog - but the fine print is that it must be using one of my themes:

If you want to add your blog to my showcase of WordPress themes, please go there and fill out the form! I will approve all of those who submit and are using my themes.

  2. Cool! I use your Blue Zinfandel theme on two of my own sites and several others I’ve designed. I’ll submit one!

  4. Randa, I absolutely LOVE the Scrapbooking site that Blue Zinfandel is being used one - honestly one of my all time favorite sites using my themes!

  6. I’ll be relaunching my personal blog very soon, I’m using silhouette as my base, so I’d love to be included in your showcase.

I do like that scrapbooking version of BZ too.

One of the things I can say about your themes, Brian, is that they are clear, easy to modify and uncluttered. The solid structure is already in tact, without a lot of superfluous code. I appreciate what you do.

  8. Brian - your themes are so well done that they are perfect for customization. I have submitted two of mine to your showcase. I have another one in the works.

  10. Chris & Char, thanks so much - I really pride myself on making my themes clean and easy. (part of being a perfectionist.) I really aim my themes to be downloaded and used by 1) newbies to WP, which is why they are so light in code and 2) people wanting to customize them. You guys have affirmed that!

  12. Hi Brian,

Just wanted to say that I am happily using dropShadow on a private blog (my dissertation research blog - readership of one), which I message about to say thanks.
It allows me to collect and see my thoughts in just the way I need to to feel as though the data actually has some validity, cohesion and forward momentum. Data aesthetics in the research process being strangely important - at least to me.

  14. Hey Shawn, glad to hear the theme is working for you! (obviously my intent to have themes appeal to everyone!)

  16. Well, I FINALLY switched to the Blue Zinfandel theme, because it is incredibly clean and has high information density. I have been trying hard to decide on it or the Copyblogger theme (or Cutline), and it has been a difficult decision because all are really good. But, BZ is clean and has a style sheet that is not too hard for a noob to learn from. In time I will customize it more, and I really like the Scrapbooking customization as well. (I’ve got to figure out how to get the same column widths, as I would like a little wider center column, but not so wide as to make the sidebars too small. I’ll toy with it in time.) I sure wouldn’t expect my minor customizations to be showcase material at this point, but maybe someday.

All of your designs are very good, Brian. Best wishes to you.

  18. Hey Brian,

Just wanted to send a “shout out” to you! I am still using a customized version of your Silhouette theme. I love it and don’t see moving away for quite some time! Keep up the great work!

  22. Brian

Just wondering why you don’t highlight your Activate theme anymore? I have enjoyed the theme.

  24. I use Vertigo on London Theatre Blog:

    And it’s a great theme!

I notice your new theme is somewhat inspired by my recent release of Victoria over at Desperate Curiosity. Nice work indeed.

  26. Hi Brian,
I need your help. I am using your Silhouette theme and for some reason the right column starts where the left column ends, but this happens with every browser, but Firefox. I checked Dave S’s site above in my Explorer and his worked correctly. What do I need to do to correct this?

  28. Hi Brian,

I hope all’s well. As you know, I’ve been using your Vertigo 1.0 for some time now, and I’m very pleased with how easy it is to modify.

    Keep up the great work.

  36. The Bookshop Blog is using your Blue Zinfandel theme. I love it. Just changed the top logo so far with a few sidebar adjustments. Will probably change the page links in the middle - just started up a month ago.
