7 months ago I did an experiment with one of my posts, where I encouraged my visitors to take a moment and introduce themselves. At the time, it was one my most active posts with comments.
Well I am deciding to try this again, so feel free to drop me a line, introduce yourself and tell me how you found my website!
In the News…
On a side note, a theme that I did for the South Carolina Senate Republican Caucus made the local news down there - you can take a look and read the article here:

I have had the pleasure working alongside a political web strategy firm located in South Carolina called Under the Power Lines - together we have worked on a number of political websites, and I look forward to continuing that relationship.

My name is Don and I originally found your site through the announcement of your Vertigo theme. I’m currently using it on my family web site TheFarlands.Net, but I’ll freely admit that I’ve fallen out of love with it. Instead I’ve been lusting after Revolution and hope to become a customer of yours soon. I’ve got a couple of other sites at dandyman.us, CivicsGeek.Org, and RedHaven-IS.com.
Hello Don, and thanks for dropping me and leaving a comment - I have seen your site before, as it has brought me a little traffic. Glad to have you around, and I certainly recommend Revolution.
My name is Ed and I run Professional Blogging News, where we try to shine a spotlight on the blogging industry, as well as bloggers in the news; its a mix of CNN’s ‘Reliable Sources,’ TV Guide and the Wall Street Journal.
I came across Brian’s Web site while looking for a solid theme for another site and since then have used a number before settling on Revolution. Revolution is the perfect balance between understated elegance and power.
Hi Brian, I cannot remember how I found your site. I am a college student hoping to someday become a web designer, I am inspired by your designs and learn a great deal from your tips.
I don’t need to welcome you Ed, because you’ve been around for some time - thanks for dropping a note! Marsha, thanks so much! Web design is definitely a fun thing - for me it’s enjoyable, and I am passionate about it. I could do it all day long for free, because I enjoy doing it to much. Hang in there!
Hi Brian,
To be honest, I found your blog when I was searching for themes for my site. I currently use the Vertigo theme and I was really impressed by the Revolution theme. Though I am no designer, I do appreciate the simplicity and elegance of your themes.
All I would ask of you, is to keep up the great job you are doing!
Cheers!
Hey Brian
- I started taking WordPress development seriously late in 2006 and business began skyrocketing in Spring of ‘07. During my research and desire to learn all I could, I found your work and was inspired to raise my standards even higher.
Your work influenced me enough for good that I broke my habit of just occasionally passing by blogs and I ’subscribed’ to receive email updates on BrianGardner. I don’t always come over to read, but every now and then a good title catches my attention and I’ve yet to be disappointed.
Keep up the excellent work
-Jonathan
Hey Brian!
I found your site a while ago while searching for WP themes and haven’t looked back. Currently, I run a couple of sites, including one dedicated to “mommies,” iMommies.com, a resource site for moms to make money, save money, and give money from home. I am currently one of your Revolution Theme Developer Customers, using the theme for various sites, including private schools, some e-commerce sites, and, of course, my own!
Thanks so much, Brian, for the great work!
-Klemens
Brian,
Came across your site while searching for “clean, elegant, simple” WordPress designs. Great work and great themes! I am an administrator at a New England prep school and use your themes for both my personal and class blogs.

Hi! I’m a fine arts student (in uni), and I love web design because I get to be techish and creative and it’s visual. I’ve recently been doing a fair amount of volunteer design (and I’ve started work on my first paid gig, which is exciting :)). I found your blog when I discovered how awesome google reader is and started looking for design blogs to subscribe to. You’re an awesome read, and as I love wordpress and have started making other people use it when they get me to design for them, I love the wordpress posts too.
Unfortunately my personal site hasn’t been updated in over a year, so I’m not going to link it at the moment.
Brian- I found your site a long time ago but it wasn’t until a fellow real estate agent, Bob Wilson from San Diego hired you for his site re-design.
I am really impressed with the look of Bob’s site-your work is so far and above the rest!
I plan on having my site revised and when that time comes-hopefully soon I hope we can talk!
All the best
Hi - I found your site referenced on the Technology Bites blog. I know quite a bit of CSS and HTML, but no PHP. WP seemed the next stage . . . I tried to get my football team’s fanzine to use my design when they updated their site, but had no joy there. I’m currently designing a blog for the school I work in; I think Blue Zinfandel will be the theme for that too, although I might try my own.
Anyway, jolly nice themes!
Hi - My name is Joeke-Remkus de Vries and I live in the Netherlands. I came across your Detour Theme some time ago and fell in love with it.. I am using it on my part (www.de-fries.nl.jr) of our family blog (www.de-fries.nl).
I really enjoy your way of programming and designing in styling and inginuity. Keep up the great work!
All the best.
Hi Brian, I’ve visited your site off and on but never managed to subscribe to your feed until now. I think I first found it through David Airey’s site when he was using your Vertigo theme (your mention as the designer at the bottom). I find it funny that you’re the only blogger I’ve talked to online and yet this is only the second comment I’ve left on your blog!
