With the calendar changing to 2007, we are that much closer to a much needed vacation. Shelly and I will be heading back to the Caribbean (this will be our 9th time in 4 1/2 years of marriage) for a cruise in April. Now I love my son Zach, but this is a trip we are taking without him - you know, for us to remember what dating was like? Thanks to my in-laws for being so awesome, and who will watch Zach while we are away! Just getting excited about the trip, so I thought I’d share some pictures from previous cruises…

Brian, Mexico is beautiful. My wife and I went to Cozumel for our honeymoon six years ago, and we are long overdue for a return visit. I’m relying on the generosity of either in-laws or my own folks in the future so that the two of us can head back.
I know it’s four months away, but have a wonderful time!
Hey Rob, yes, we are in agreement that Mexico is beautiful. We haven’t seen much of Cozumel other than the downtown area, and this time around we are going to take a shore excursion into the island more - perhaps a jungle safari or something. Should be fun!

Yeah! I’m so glad that you guys decided, or should I maybe say, that Shelly was talked into a cruise without Zach. I’m sure that you guys will have so much fun. I’m so jealous. It’s hard to imagine when Kyle and I will get time together again without “all our kids.”
We all need to hang out again sometime. I’ll talk to Shelly about that. Oh….and Happy belated Birthday!

Thanks Melissa, and yes, I had to convince Shelly to pry herself away from Zach to celebrate our 5th Anniversary! You definitely know us well. We’re only going for 4 nights in April, and I had to settle for that as you know me, I wanted to go for seven nights. BUT, I won that battle when I convinced her (and her parents) to book a cruise for November this year for 7 nights, on Royal Caribbean’s new boat Freedom of the Seas. Going to the Virgin Islands, so all in all, I’m happy!!!
P.S. Tracy, we’re quite bummed you and Sam aren’t able to join us in April. But we’ll see you soon!
