Pink for October

Well it’s just about two weeks away, and I was wondering how many people are going to participate in the Pink for October this time around. For those of you who don’t know what it is, web sites will Go Pink during the month of October to bring attention to Breast Cancer Awareness Month, get people talking about breast cancer, and raise money for research.

Breast Cancer RibbonA lot of you know that every year I participate in an event called the Breast Cancer 3-Day, which is a 60 mile walk that benefits the fight against breast cancer.

I’ll be participating in the Pink for October campaign, but don’t worry, this isn’t going to be a design reboot, rather only a change in colors of my existing site.

If you are interested in participating, but don’t know how to code, or can’t find time, take a look at two “Pink for October” themes that Natalie Jost created - both of which are free for people to download.

    mhm… i might think giving a shot and recolour my template :))
    or one of them, anyway… maybe i’ll make a release, so i’ll have 2 more visits beside those three daily :P

    Yep, I do that as well with one of my other sites Brian. I didn’t walk this year but I will be a volunteer . Last year my best friend walked and I helped also. Next year we will both walk as we belong to a very nice group of people that either walk or help out each time. Our walk in fact is in October here in Clearwater Florida so we still have it to look forward to. It’s such a wonderful thing that results of this event helps with.

    Alex, I’m throwing a challenge your way to go pink! Darren, shoot me an email when you go pink, so I can check out your site! Deborah, it’s nice that you live in an area where it’s still warm in October! :) By the way, my wife’s grandparents live down in Clearwater, and we were down your way a few years back!

    and, of course, my theme will have at least a bit of pink somewhere.

    I’m totally in. :) Started on my idea for this year’s pink theme a couple weeks ago and need to adjust some positioning issues, but it’s close!
