Why I Returned the Retina Display for a Macbook Air

Update: I decided to purchase a 13″ Macbook Pro with Retina Display when it was released by Apple towards the end of 2012. You can read all about the reasons.

Less than two weeks ago, Apple released its new 15″ Macbook Pro with Retina Display. Like everyone in the technology space, I refreshed the Apple Store page every few minutes anxiously awaiting for it to open.

And then it did, and I immediately purchased the 15″ Macbook Pro with Retina Display hoping to get my hands on it within a few days.

I read a number of reviews about it, and as an Apple snob it didn’t take much to convince me that this would become my new machine. It HAD to be better, right?

7 WordPress Plugins That I Highly Recommend Using

There are close to 20,000 available plugins in the WordPress Plugin Directory, but only 7 of them have made their way to my personal blog.

I consider myself a minimalist in life, and when it comes to extending WordPress and the functionality of my blog, it’s no different. In fact, I try my hardest NOT to use plugins, but in some cases, I’m left with no choice.

How I Got Google to Display My Profile in Search Results

A couple weeks ago I was Googling something and noticed that a handful of search results on each page had a small profile image next to the listing. See above.

You’ll notice that there’s an image of me, along with the number of people who have circled me and a link to more content by me.

When I saw the images on that search page, I thought “wow, that’s pretty cool and I bet it helps increase click through rates.”
