More Beans to Spill
I am proud to announce that WordPress Themes is officially online, and ready to go. It has been an exceptionally fun project to develop, and I look forward to managing the site, as well as contributing there as both a blogger and a designer.
A little about the website… the domain itself is owned by Splashpress Media, and is not affiliated with the official WordPress site. We fully support the efforts of Matt Mullenweg, and those at Automattic.
For those of you who are wondering what you can expect there, that’s a simple answer. We will be posting about design tips, ways to enhance a blog, how to monetize a blog through design, as well as offer WordPress themes and styles.
So there ya go, more beans to spill!!!
P.S. On a happy note, I ended up with a PR6 on the latest Google Page Rank Update. Fun stuff.

Automattic have to protect their Wordpress Trademark (not sure if it is fully registered yet)
Some time ago I changed my wordpressplugins.info site to wpplugins.info to support Matt’s wishes.
I believe the Wordpress Podcast was also going to use Wordpress in the domain name, but after consultation made a change.
Matt is supportive of community efforts but supporting the efforts of Matt and Automattic isn’t the same as having their permission.
I can’t see any mention of trademarks on your site, which they almost certainly would have insisted upon, thus it seems to me no one has checked with Automattic yet.
Andy, my mother started a permissions (copyright, etc) company, as well as wrote a book, so it’s in my blood to be aware of things like this.
For the record, we have been told to place the following on the site by Automattic: “Wordpress is a registered trademark of Automattic Inc. This website is not affiliated with or sponsored by Automattic or the Wordpress open source project.”

Brian, you were a huge help to me with a template tweak a few weeks ago (hope the run for the cure went well), and Nathan just completed a WP programming job for me that went very well.

I just found my way onto WordpressThemes this morning and it’s exciting to see another high quality project out in the marketplace. I’ve worked with quite a number of clients who’ve expressed how difficult it’s been to find professional Wordpress help and I’m happy to see that before long that won’t be a problem :). Keep up the excellent work Brian! And you to Potato.. *grins*..
