Have You Been Buzzed By Yahoo?
Being an internet geek and freelance web designer, I spend a lot of time on the internet. Some of which is learning new things, some killing time reading blogs and some doing work for clients.
Recently, I began a celebrity blog with a guy that’s becoming a good friend, which has been really fun so far. I know how much the internet is used, how many searches happen on a daily basis, but didn’t fully grasp that until yesterday, when we witnessed something truly amazing.
We got buzzed by Yahoo.
Are you sitting down? In a three hour span yesterday afternoon, our celebrity website received almost 10,000 unique visitors. The stat counter we have nearly fried since that’s a new visitor to the site every second for three hours.
It was a total rush… so, have you been buzzed by Yahoo?
No. What does that even mean? I wanna be buzzed by Yahoo. I think.

Brian, I’ve never been “buzzed”, but a little bed blog I run called BedJump.com made it on Yahoo!’s “The 9″ which drove about 12K visitors in 12 hours. That was fun for sure.

Never been buzzed either. The closest I’ve come to getting a lot of traffic, was by entering the CSS Reboot last year, but even that didn’t generate as much traffic as you mentioned.

@ Shelli - Yahoo Buzz is when they post about a topic, and in their post, the link to a search of some keywords, that we happened to be listed for.

The weather isn’t too bad. It’s been sunny in the mornings but then it gets a little overcast in the evenings and sometimes rains. But overall I’d say it’s good.
My website needs a buzz from yahoo. Do you know if google or msn has anything similar to Yahoo’s buzz
