Coffee WordPress ThemesSince I had nothing better to do with the two hours of free time I had last night, I decided to take some of you up on your suggestions of designing a coffee WordPress theme.

Most know that I am a diehard Starbucks addict, and can’t live without my triple shot Grande Toffee Nut Skim Latte. Admission is the first step to recovery, so I’m making progress!

In all honesty, I had planned on doing one of these coffee WordPress themes for quite some time, but the overwhelming response to my post asking my visitors to help me for my next theme pushed me over the top!

Anyway, you can take a look at what two hours of free time and using my Blue Zinfandel theme as a starting point resulted in.

Ladies and gentlemen, I’d like to introduce the Downtown Java WordPress theme.

  2. Hey Brian - nice work! I’m not a coffee man myself, but the theme looks great. It’s also impressive that you came up with it in a couple of hours.

  4. Hey Rob, thanks - to each his own, but I cannot understand how you resist the temptation of Starbucks. Tell me how! I’ll be writing a post sometime soon on how easy it is to make a “new” theme out of an “old” one. ;)

  6. Very nice theme!, I like the colors

Well, I was seeing your WordPress themes, and then I saw the new one, pop up like magic!

Starbucks already reached Mexico, so I can start a new addiction! ;)

I am searching for a template, for a new blog project, its mac related, by the way I need a mac blogger :p

I think I will use, Blue Zinfandel 3-column.

  8. I like it lots. I would like an “edit” link for pages, but that’s pretty minor.

(I appreciate that there’s an edit link for posts - which Blue Zinfandel lacked.)

  10. Brian - I’m looking forward to that post. I’ve actually had Starbucks once or twice over the years, but have managed to resist the temptation. The last time I was there, I had a green tea moccachino, or something similar. Good stuff, but that was two years ago and I haven’t been back since. I think it give me a bad vibe. I feel like if I’m not coming up with some dot-com idea or reading Russian literature, I have no place there :-)

  12. Dig the theme, Brian. Clean, sharp and simple. But, I’m perplexed…how do you make it through the day with a meager triple shot? I am nearly narcoleptic with anything less that a quad.

I don’t feel that I’ve had enough Starbucks unless I have that wide-eyed, freshly botoxed look about me. :)

BTW, you need to add a “Digg it” button to your posts. Especially with the theme releases.

  14. To all who have commented so far, thanks so much! Chris, I have just added the Feedburner links at the bottom for social bookmarking, hopefully people will feel the desire to add some of posts!

  16. Rob, how in the world have you managed to drink Starbucks ONLY once or twice over the years?

  18. Brian, I know, it’s completely unpatriotic. I guess I need to take a good hard look at myself, or just walk to the Starbucks that’s a 5-minute walk from my house :-)

  20. Rob, that’s hilarious. I have the luxury (or misfortune) of being able to go to our Starbucks without even driving through a stoplight. Makes it way too convenient!

  22. Hey Brian

I downloaded this theme into my Wordpress blog, but the header didn’t come out right. Instead of the dark brown background with the coffee cup and the heading itself in a light colour, it was reversed…. couldn’t even read it.

    Can you help me here?
    Thanks
