Adiós a Mis Amigos

18

Many of you know that my wife and I are avid cruisers, so I wanted to make an announcement that I’ll be away and unavailable from Friday October 17th through Sunday October 26th.

I’m writing this to explain why I won’t be able to answer email, any comments on my blog or posts in the support forum. But no worries, I’ll do my best to address these when I get back.

Updates on Revolution… Jason and I are currently working on the development of the new site, and we will have at least 6 themes available upon launch. They will include the 3 that I previewed here on my site, as well as the 3 that he previewed on his.

I just wanted to wish you all the best, and if you want to know what I’m doing or where I’ll be over the next week and a half, you can follow me on Twitter - that’s where I’ll post little updates while I’m gone. I’m actually really excited since we are going to be sailing with Cory Miller and his wife, which should make this a really fun trip.

Last but not least, I wanted to send a shout out to my good friend David Adams of Escalate Media, who recently launched a women’s portal website, Totally Her, which is powered by WordPress. For those who think that WordPress is only for blogs, this site proves otherwise.

Can’t wait, man! Glad we’re going with experience cruisers since we’re newbies to sailing on the seas.

Should we do a WordCamp Caribbean?

  2. YES! Now that is what I’m talking about - WordCamp Caribbean. Anyone interested? We can all write it off as a business expense!

  3. Totally Her says:

Thanks for the plug! TotallyHer.com is taking off almost 3000 members in 3 days. We love the way the design and implementation of WP and VB worked out!

  4. Sure thing David - and congrats on the immediate success of your site!

A cruise sounds great right about now. I am right in the middle of a very intense project and definitely in need of a serious vacation. If there is ever a WordCamp Caribbean definitely count me in. I was in the Navy so I know a little about the open sea. Have a great cruise, you guys definitely deserve it and I will see you when you get back. Fair winds and following seas! :)

  6. Quest, thanks - yes, the WordCamp Caribbean is actually something I’d consider trying to coordinate.

Enjoy Brian! For me . . . well, I’m envious. I’ve never been on a cruise - but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express once.

  15. Congrats! I hope you have a fab time! I could use a trip or cruise myself. I have been so busy working on clients, on my certifications in internet marketing and 1shoppingcart. I also recently did a course in wordpress site design and last but not least will be doing Photoshop! I can barely come up for air. Have a great time and have a drink or two for me! :)

Brian can you realease the Rev church theme as soon as you get back please please. I have to do a site for my church and I can’t wait until November…
    Please?

  17. Hey Brian, hope you enjoyed your cruise. If you cruise a lot, odds are you’ve sailed out of Port Canaveral at least once already. It’s the world’s second busiest cruise port. Next time you or one of your friends takes a cruise out of Port Canaveral, you might want to check out some really helpful travel tips at Travel Plan Guide for Port Canaveral Transportation. Hope someone finds this useful.
