  1. Very cool, mate! You keep pumping out the best quality themes.

  2. Mike Sigers says:

That’s EXACTLY what I needed for a project.

    Ex-freakin’-zactly.

Um, …. are you doin’ that mind readin’ stuff again?

    Didn’t we talk about this?

    Thanks!

Thanks, appreciate that - I do my best to provide top notch designs!

    Mike
Along with Real Estate (and these actually somewhat go hand in hand) the City Portal concept is another of the common requests I was getting from people, so I figured what the heck!

  4. Yessir, boy, you hit the nail on the head with this one. It’s like a revamped Rev Mag with tons of potential.

Dammit. Stop making such good themes, because now we’re seen as the “Rev Design” specialists. No damned wonder, with good sites like that.

(PS - I like rounded edges.)

  5. James
Sorry to put you in that predicament! :)

But think of it this way - the more themes I develop, the more job security you’ll have! ;)

  6. Hm. Why do you not have subscribe to comments plugin? Or is it secretly hard-coded?

  7. Because sometimes it’s easier (and takes less time to support) to supply a theme with the WP framework, and let others add various plugins and third party apps.

Great, Going into a meeting with my company to use Revolution City as the template next week.

  9. Tom Murphy says:

    Another great theme.

Now how about one for eBay sellers wanting to highlight their sales and point people toward their eBay listings?

We get a lot of requests for such a site/blog.

    Tom

  10. Jack
Glad to hear it - let me know how the meeting goes!

    Tom
Not sure how easy that would do with WordPress, sounds like more of a customized type situation - perhaps an existing Revolution theme can be used in that case?

  11. WordSkill says:

Brian, yet another great variation - what I love is the attention to detail, all the small touches.

The inclusion of Gravatars is especially welcome and something I would love to see added to the other Revolution themes.

  12. *cries*… now I have to keep refreshing my page…

  13. James
    Um, *cries* over what?

    Donnacha
I know you’re a fan of the Gravatar, and as I work my way back to updating themes (like I have already with the Magazine and Tech themes) I will add that feature into every theme!

  14. @ Brian - No subscribe to comments to stay in the conversation.

  15. Doh - sorry about that, forgot to activate that plugin when I moved servers. Should be there now - can you confirm?

  16. YAY!! Thank you, you made my morning.

  17. Jerry Wipf says:

    You are amazing Brian..

    You continue to impress all..

Thanks so much for this… I had this vision a while back for a site like this for my local city… this is perfect…

    Cheers
    Jerry

Thanks so much - I’m glad to hear that people out there have a need for a theme like this, and am glad to provide it!

  19. Brian,

This theme is simply beautiful, as are all the others, but this one I think may be my new favorite! Please keep up the great work and THANK YOU!!!!!

    Warmly,
    Yamisi

  20. Mike Taylor says:

    Hi Brian,

    Very nice theme!

Do any of your themes allow you to have a searchable database at all?

For example, a database of different types of restaurants, Italian, Chinese, Indian etc.

    Thanks
    Mike

  21. Yamisi
    You’re most certainly welcome!

    Mike
No, they don’t - that’s not to say that a plugin or some kind of 3rd party application can’t be used to accomplish this, but my themes use the standard WP search function.

  22. Flo says:

Brian, you are just making the best affordable themes I know. Actually I am using the free Silhouette theme, but when I saw your new “Revolutionary City Theme” I directly knew: I need to buy a liscense! In addition the exchange rate for US Dollar / Euro ist great for me. :D

    Regards from Germany, Flo

  23. Lawrence says:

Congratulations for your new masterpiece ! That’s very beautiful !

    Bye,

    Lawrence from France

  24. Fath says:

    It’s cool. It looks fresh.

  25. Thanks for the comments everyone - love getting positive feedback and to know that this might be a theme that people are looking to use!

  26. Darren Hoyt says:

Great theme again, Brian, looking forward to seeing it used out in the wild.

  27. Darren
You can use the contact form from Revolution theme site, or you can email me at brian / at / briangardner / dotcom! Thanks for the compliments regarding the theme!

  28. m says:

great theme! this is very nice.

  29. Tom Murphy says:

    Reference earlier comment re: eBay

Brian, as you can see, I have used your Rev theme for the Police Foundation site (www.pbgpv.org).

What I am looking for now is a replacement for the http://www.encore-ephemera.com/blog

You said maybe a Rev theme.. is there one that you think might fit best?

    Thanks,

    Tom

  30. Mike Taylor says:

    Brian,

Most of the photos I have are not panoramic like the featured ones on the site.

How do you get them to fit?

    Thanks
    Mike

  31. Mike Taylor says:

    Brian,

Another quick question… if the 120 x 610 ad is not used in the bottom right hand corner what happens to the “space”?

Do the Categories, Blog Roll etc widen to use the space?

    Thanks

    Mike

  32. Enrique says:

I want to buy it but is it a theme only or is there a backend system to it as well? I know its powered by Wordpress but is there a special plug-in you get or is this just a theme?
