Dear Starbucks, I Promise I'm ComingOver the past 5 weeks, I have been absent from my office over at Starbucks - that quaint little table in the corner has missed me almost as much as I’ve missed it. You see, I’ve been playing general contractor since the middle of May, as we had an addition put onto our house, and I’ve had to temporarily re-prioritize things.

Thanks God it’s done. Looks great, but thank God it’s done.

Tomorrow morning (Monday) I’ll be back at work, I promise. I’ve tried my best of the past few weeks to stay afloat in terms of answering emails, supporting and developing Revolution, and just trying to maintain my business as I’ve had to make decisions on what color paint, where walls should be, how to angle the ceiling… blah blah blah.

I miss being totally in touch with things on the internet, and I’m just happy that I’ll have more time to blog (so sorry I’ve been out of touch here) and just do the things that I used to do on a daily basis.

One of the things I want to do on my blog here is to address questions that you all might have about WordPress, blogging, theme design or anything to do with the internet - it will give me something to blog about on a daily basis, so I’m opening up the comments on this post to you for questions.

Ask away, and I’ll answer them in the form of posts this week!

Feel free to leave a comment with a question that’s you’re burning to know the answer to. Personal questions are welcome too!

Revolution Coming to Your CityHere I am once again, asking for some feedback - I sincerely value the thoughts and ideas that you all have, and want to continue to provide themes that people want.

Without further adieu, I’m now soliciting for feedback on the upcoming Revolution City theme - a concept that has been requested from me by many people wishing to build “city portal” websites. This can also be a great theme for real estate agents who are looking to build a website for their community as well.

With the Revolution City theme, I’ve tried to incorporate the most popular concepts from other themes, while also trying to step outside my design box and come up with a “colorful” offering. Don’t fret, as the color scheme you see probably won’t be the only one, as I’ll be hoping to include at least one or two more stylesheets with this one!

So feel free to leave some feedback on the theme - be nice, as this isn’t fully developed. The sidebars should be styled a lot better by the time this theme is released, I just wanted to get something out there for critiquing.

Join Me in the Fight Against Breast CancerFrom time to time, I will be posting this on the front page on my blog. The reason is simple. I get a lot of new visitors each week, and need to raise a large amount of money.

It’s a great cause, so please read on…

I’m asked by many people how they can repay me for my help with WordPress Themes. Whether it be solving bugs, customizing themes that I make free to the public, or simply taking the time to respond to emails and comments. If you want to know how you can repay me, read below and you’ll see.

It’s all about karma, and making the world a better place.

On August 8th of this year, I will once again lace up my shoes for the Chicago Breast Cancer 3-Day Walk, and start an emotional journey that will take me 60 very long and grueling miles from the suburbs to downtown Chicago. This walk will be hot, this walk will be painful. There will be sweat, and there will be tears.

Most importantly, this walk will benefit women and help to save lives.

I am required to raise a minimum of $2,200 to participate in the event. By the time that you finish reading this, two more women will be diagnosed with breast cancer, and another one just died from it. In fact, while I am walking those 60 miles, 110 women will die from this horrible disease. 110 families will lose a mother, or a daughter, or a best friend.

That is why I walk.

I don’t walk to get recognition. I don’t walk because I want people to think of me a hero. I walk so that a little girl can grow up and spend time with her mother. I walk so that a mother can watch her daughter walk down the aisle at her wedding. I walk so that I don’t have to console another friend while a part of her life was taken too soon. I walk because I am physically able to, while others are not. I walk because I have been given so much, and I want to give back as much as I can.

I walk, because I cannot walk away…
