Just got a call from my wife on the way home from the doctor, and it looks like Zach either has Pneumonia or Bronchitis. Man, we just can’t catch a break. I’m getting kind of tired of him being sick, but I guess that goes with the territory and what we signed up for.
Looking forward to the conclusion of this chapter. Trust me.
As much as I have been a winter person my entire life, I’m beginning to experience the side effects of living in the Midwest. I use to love cold weather… hanging out in coffeeshops, snuggling and skiing. But now that I am a parent, my perspective on it all has drastically changed.
Since Christmas, my son Zach has been in the hospital with a severe virus and dehydration, then a few weeks back wrestled with the 24 hour flu, and just this past weekend was nailed with a 105 degree fever, which has since turned into a Croup cough, and now total congestion and a runny nose.
Have I mentioned how much I am looking forward to warmer weather?

Taking the same score I predicted from this post, I predict the Colts win Super Bowl XLI over the Bears in a blowout.
Colts 37 Bears 13
I receive at least 10 emails a day asking me if I create custom Wordpress themes, and how much I charge. I decided that I’d make a post which shows a detailed description of my services, so that anyone who visits my site can fully understand what I can offer, and see if it fits their blogging or website needs.
Consulting
I spend countless hours throughout the week answering emails, chatting with people via instant messenger as well as time on the phone. Because my workload has increased tremendously over the past few weeks, I decided the best way to prioritize my time is to allow my clients the opportunity to hire me for blog consulting on a per hour basis. If you want custom Wordpress Themes, you can also do this.
Custom Wordpress Themes
I am a recovering Frontpage user, and also was a short-term addict to Blogger. I felt limited with theme choices, and the inability to take my blog to the next level. Then one day my friend Brad introduced me to Wordpress. Since I wanted to make my sites stand out from other sites, I taught myself how to code PHP and CSS. In that process, I was able to create some themes that I have made available to the public. But I also know there are many people like me, who want to be different, and have site that is unique in nature. This is where I come into the picture, and I can create some custom Wordpress Themes for you.
Modifying My Themes
I get inundated with emails asking me questions about customizing the themes that I have released to the public. As much as I enjoy helping people do that, there isn’t enough time in the day to answer everybody’s requests with my fullest attention and to do it freely. I will support my themes, which means I will answer questions that pertain to bugs. This is part of the responsibility I feel in offering them to the public.
Importing Blogs from Blogger and Typepad
A lot of people in the blogosphere start out by using some of the popular free blogging services such as Blogger and Typepad. After some time, they establish their blog and readership, and want to take it to the next level. In a lot of instances this causes people to migrate towards using domain names and their own hosting, and consequently they need to make a choice. How do I do this and when I do, which blogging platform should I pick? Wordpress has been created with the ability to import all of your existing content on your current blog into your new blog database. I have experience with this migration process, and can certainly assist you in doing so.
